This prototype was envisioned with bold colorways and a decidedly racing aesthetic, but we ultimately decided to go another way. This chronograph remains from that project and is the most “Grand Rapids Watch Company” themed of any in the store! In addition to the tasteful gold logo on the watch face, the back also features the company logo with the crown and strap featuring the GR logo. The domed crystal invokes thoughts of an earlier time in watchmaking and creates a stunning look on the wrist, while the “mecaquartz” Seiko VK63 provides a satisfying, automatic watch like snap back to reset the timing function.
$5 from the sale of this watch will be donated to Special Olympics Grand Rapids, in tribute to timing the fierce competitor’s events!
