Grand Rapids Watch Company was founded by me, Eddie White, after I got into watch building. This was initially for the sole purpose of building my dad a special, one of a kind gift for his 60th birthday, but I quickly developed a deepening passion for all things watches. As I built watch after watch in search of finding the design for my dad, my mind began to wander and wonder what a watch company could look like that embodied my values:

• Design that is directly connected to my community, and in many cases, assembled in that same community

• A company that is a benefit to the place it occupies, rather than a company that has no concern for the community that helps it thrive

• Quality customer service with a real, live human being

With these values as the pillars of Grand Rapids Watch Company, a plan began to form and “Who We Are” began to take shape. So, who are we?

We are a company that will tell stories through time. Our goal is to connect wearers to meaningful narratives that only grow richer over time.

We are a company that will always donate a portion of every watch sold to a charity, ideally a charity with relation to the watch’s design.

Finally, Grand Rapids Watch Company is a business that people will be proud to have in their community. If we only exist to make money, we might as well not exist at all.
